It will be a fun football season to watch and see what really happens!

The Aggies are in a good place with their football program. Can't wait for the season to begin. Go Big Blue!

We'll be in an even better spot moving forward if we beat the Vols. I can feel it in my bones.

Go Ags!

I think Doug made a really good point- that both BYU and Utah blew it with delusions of grandeur.

Opportunity to play for a conference championship each year

Traditional and geographically sensible rivalries with peer institutions

Access to, and a likely chance of reaching multiple bowl games

Utah State is the only institution in the state that can currently lay claim to all three. Can't wait for the season to start!

aggie238,

Who are your rivals? Colorado State and UNLV? LOL.

As hard as it is to believe, usu has the worst ranked schedule of any team in the state. Much has been made of how bad byu's schedule is. Even worse - the usu aggies. I saw one poll put their schedule #117 in the nation - that is literally almost dead last.

Ya, the aggies can brag about being better than Wyoming and UNLV their rivals. But that's a pretty low bar.

They are owned by both byu and Utah, and likely will be forever.

The truth of the matter is that usu needs games against byu and more so Utah than those teams need games against usu.

A game against Utah would be the highlight of usu's season.

that shows where those two programs stack up.

@Christopher B

Remind us, which Bowl did the Utes play in last year again?

I just hope poor old Nate Fakafua gets significant PT in a game where something is actually on the line before his career is said and done. I'm just glad old Harvey saved himself from having to endure his whole upper-class career without playing in the post-season.

USU has gave the U more than they could handle the last two years. Assuming you went to the game last year, you must have felt a tremendous relief to have snuck out with a win. Games against USC and Tennessee are highlights for USU's seasons.

I know most Utes are great fans and I truly hope that Utah can gain some traction in the Pac12. But the same tired negative comments from a few so called U fans makes a poor reflection on Utah.

Go Big Blue!!! Go Utes!!! Go Cougars!!!

More tired and unoriginal comments from the same old Utah "fan." Please show a bit of class and go cheer for your own team rather than trying to tear mine down.

Actions from Ute fans like this speak volumes of where Utah is currently trending (down) versus where the Ags are trending (up).

Besides... anybody who is anybody knows Utah has no legit PAC-12 rivals. Having a lukewarm rival like Colorado State is way better than pretending USC gives a hoot.

Most Ute fans are probably pretty sensible…those that respond to USU articles to flame are obnoxious but sort of amusing. But for the life of me I don't understand why a "sportsman" would want the role of a bully? Like Scutt Farcus in Christmas Story, they eventually get what they deserve. Go Aggies…could be a fabulous year.

Since 2011 USU has beat Utah once and lost once. That is when you know your team is on the decline. That is why Chris B is more interested in USU articles than Ute articles.

@Aggie238

Why does USU have a chance at all three? Because they are in the WAC 2.0.

@tinplater

"For the life of me I don't understand why a "sportsman" would want the role of a bully". Thanks for admitting what you are.
