I found the list rather limited. What about the Mozart family? The Strauss family? Robert and Clara Schumann? Even the Von Trapp family?

And I think I would have picked Van Halen over CCR or Lynyrd Skynyrd.

And what about JS Bach, CPE Bach, PDQ Bach and all the other Bach brothers? OK PDQ is the joke, but there were a number of well known Bachs after all, just none in the last 150 years.

Headline in the article should read "10 families who changed the world of pop music in the United States from the 1960s to the 1980s with the chronological exception of Hanson, and why are we including Hanson, anyway?"
