I think Booker will be the feature back this year.

Good luck to all three!

Go UTES!

These guys are going to put on a thrilling show for Utah fans. I'm liking the comments and assessments coming out of camp this year. Most of the talking is left to performance on the field. They are simply going about their business in a quiet sort of way.

Go Utes!

What are the chances any of these young men see a bowl game in their college careers?

C'mon dude! Is that necessary to ask at all? What are you going to say if the Utes surprise you and go to a bowl after all? That kind of post only makes BYU a target for more hate and ridicule. I'm not a Ute fan but I do not wish them ill either. Coach Whit is a great man and I hope his team has better success this year, if for nothing else but to save his job and get him off the so called "hot seat". Besides, we don't play them for the next two years so why not root for them too? Just my two cents!

Good luck Utes and Aggies! Go Cougars!

@ Max
I would say the chance that any of Utah's backs making it to a bowl game in their career, is better than any of BYU's players winning a conference championship.

@Maxi: While we don't know how the other PAC12 teams have progressed, and of course there's always the injury thing that can happen to any team (right?), it appears significant progress is underway for Utah.

Very significant progress.

In fact, very very significant progress.

In fact, very very very significant progress.

In a variety of ways and means, at a variety of levels.

But we certainly appreciate your inquiry, and we Red Folk up on The Hill look forward to a fun, entertaining, and ultimately quite successful PAC12/P5 season.

That's about as civil as I can get. Hope it helps you. :)

It's Sooooo Great to be a Ute!!!

Max--the chances of these guys playing in a bowl game during their careers is substantially greater than the chance that BYU will even the series record against the Utes in our lifetimes. That will not happen, of course--but these guys probably will see a bowl game. And when they do--it will most likely be against a-----(wait for it)--ahem, a P5 opponent.

Gotta have quality backup talent at all positions to compete in this conference. Having a good running offense will certainly help Travis and the passing offense and hopefully help preserve some of those leads we let get away last year.

Much, much better than the chances of BYU beating Utah again. I can see a seven-peat over the next 5 years. That would make the 2019 season the 10th anniversary of when Max Hall opened mouth and inserted foot.

@TheNun. The odds of BYU winning a conference championship are therefore no worse than Utah winning one.

I am of the opinion the RB like QB needs a clear cut starter. The old saying is if you have to possible starting QBs that means you really don't have any. I like having 3 options at RB but hope one emerges as the primary back and there are a couple of very specific situations where (big back for short yards - fast back on some third downs) the other player comes in.

All three of these kids are fine young men and could emerge by my speculation is Booker becomes the feature back by the end of the year.

samoan,

Thanks for being one of the very few byu fans who isn't wearing blue goggles all the time. However, don't expect us to start cheering for byu. You can say Go Utes all you want, but we're not going to start saying Go Cougars. You'll not see any Ute fans doing that on these boards - and for good reason.

Go UTES
