So they want you to pay $8 for the privilege of entering so you can buy stuff??

Or $6 in advance!! This may well cut down on the number of attendees, unfortunately. It sounds like an interesting event but I would prefer it to be "free admission."

While I admit I do enjoy a simple CTR ring and a few other "LDS" products, and I understand vocal and visual artists need to make a living, I still feel a little uncomfortable with the heavy marketing of LDS stuff. It gets to be distracting to listen to a beautiful talk given by a General Authority and knowing an especially meaningful and well constructed thought is going to end up framed (or silk screened onto an apron) - with a price tag on it - in a store nearby. It just doesn't seem right.

I don't know where to draw the line, but I would guess moderation would be the best bet. In my opinion an entire expo isn't moderation and I'd feel a little weird attending.
