Our pro-amnesty media has certainly given Obama a pass for his foolishness.
This president watched the numbers grow and failed to take action when there were 8,000 children. Now we have 57,000, with a forecast of 120,000.

Contrast that with the quick action of the Obama administration when he discovered that ICE had conducted a worksite raid in March of 2009. It was a legitimate raid and netted over 40 illegal aliens working at that company in Bellingham, Washington.

Within two weeks Obama had given work papers to all the workers (Please forgive us for arresting you for working here illegally. Here are work permits.) and written up the ICE agents who were enforcing the law.

Selective enforcement at its worst.

Obama vacations in times of crisis=good! Congress which have been rendered irrelevant by Obama's illegal executive orders (as defined by the SCOTUS) takes a vacation=bad!

Heck, Congress has been on vacation for at least six years now.

Nothing new here.

Might even be a good thing.

Can you imagine the damage they could do if they were not on permanent vacation?

Jason Chaffetz is on vacation with a few senators at Lake Powell. He obviously doesn't care about illegal immigration.

King Boehner even admitted, that he won't even touch the illegal immigration topic until after the midterms.

Time to get ourselves a new Congress. Haven't we had enough tea? Time for some coffee.. Black! To wake ourselves up!

"Please forgive us for arresting you for working here illegally. Here are work permits."

Kind of like when Joe Barton apologized to BP CEO Tony Hayward when BP was forced to set up a damage fund to pay for the Deepwater Horizon spill.

I'm interested in how the right will spin this.

How will the right spin it?
Well, the House has acted and sent a bill over to the Senate.
Obama has already said he won't sign it.
What does the right need to spin?
The ball is in the court of the democrats.

"Obama plays golf while children starve!"

"Chaffetz floats on houseboat while children starve!"

Both of our political parties have become clown shows.

How will Obama react to the bill the Democratic Senate sent him. Wait, they never sent a bill, they recessed without one.

The Republican house did send a bill that dealt with the cause of this mess, Obama's waivers. That's the first immigration bill that followed the will of the majority of Americans. Unlike other bills that told us what we should accept.

"Is it just a coincidence that children are streaming across the border and Congress has decided to go on recess?"

It sure doesn’t look good considering how House Republicans have been making so much noise about it calling it “a humanitarian crisis.” Poor John Boehner. It must be hard work trying to downplay Republican vs. Republican infighting over something you would think they could for once compromise on.

Excuse the digression. For a moment I forgot this is Jay Evenson's 'lighthearted' side of the news.

Well that's what one does during a manufactured crisis, when the cameras leave the sense of "the sky is falling" suddenly disappears.

Please keep in mind that Snowden was not the first one to warn the US of government spying on it's own people. There was a protest by many Democrats and Liberals when Homeland Security and the PATRIOT Act was in congress and up for vote. They warn all of America that the government was out of control with searching for terrorist activity. It is noted that Republicans believe strongly in personal freedom and security. It was the Republicans who stood firm and told people who opposed these bills to "Shut Up this is good for America". Now Republicans are screaming foul and blaming everyone around them.
