The Internet is both a treasure trove of good quality information and a cesspool of degrading material. What we need is better tools that can help us sift the wheat from the chaff. Current things like filters can provide some level of protection but they can also be unreliable.

What we really need is metadata similar to the contents label on the side of a soup can. Sure you can post garbage out there, but you have to label its contents such that the consumer doesn't have to open the can and taste it before he finds out it is full of dirt.

Valuable, uplifting material could be "promoted" through some kind of review process that could give parents some level of confidence that your children can see it.
