It's all about Sir Ken Robinson. Any education ideal short of what he
professes, and the methodology to reach it, isn't worth its salt.
This piece makes me crazy. As the well-funded corporate "reformers"
have deformed education in America, teachers have been crying out to be heard
that students are not widgets and teachers need support, not constant
measurements and threats. Now those who value and work in public education will
be blamed for the reformers' mistakes. Give teachers a break
and help them do their all-important jobs, instead of constantly attacking them
and blaming them for all of society's ills.
