CRUCIAL GUN SAFETY TIP: Removing the magazine or clip out of a firearm does NOT
guarantee the gun is unloaded. With your finger off the trigger and the gun
pointed in a safe direction (preferably at an impenetrable wall), open the bolt
or pull back the slide to visually check for a round in the chamber. Then feel
inside the chamber to confirm there is no bullet in the firing position. Make
sure the magazine is out of the gun before you close the bolt or release the
slide or else another bullet will move into the firing position. If any of this
doesn't make sense, consult a certified firearms instructor who will show
you what this all means.
