These folks are geniuses. Those receptions are mind numbing. And they served a downed few.

They didn't just feed people, they let them attend their wedding celebration complete with wedding cake! I can imagine that many of these people haven't felt the joy of a party or attended a reception in a long time, if ever.
What a beautiful example of sharing love with others. This Mormon couple exemplifies Christian goodness.

What an amazing and generous couple. I am sure their families made big contributions to this kind and charitable event.

What a great way to begin a life together. I hope that their example catches on. Elaborate weddings are boring and predictable. Too much money spent on frivolous junk.

My mother is a temple worker and she feels bad for the brides who come in, grousing about how their less-than-modest dress needs to be modified, managing their oversized trains in spaces and places they were never designed to be in. Watching a bride schlumpf up the stairs, hitching and hootching their dress along is like Jacob Marley dragging "the chains he forged in life" ... a symbol of worldly trappings that will continue to drag down.

Good for the two of you! What a very self-less act. Most weddings are centered around the couple, like they are the center of the universe for at least one day in their lives - which is fine. This couple has learned to reach outside themselves in the very beginning of their relationship and will likely always continue to do that.

One of the best stories I've ever read. Beautiful young couple doing a truly Christ-like act to begin their life together. I doubt either will ever struggle with selfish issues in their marriage. Congratulations and best wishes going their way!

Uplifting and inspirational. Their children will learn to serve at an early age.

In ones opinion, this couple is an outstanding example to both young and old of better, best, and greater choices. And not the least is the simple, yet beautiful attire of the bride.
