I am usually pretty harsh when it comes to Congressman Bishop, but this plan of
his to get all the parties together and get a land use bill has lots of merit.
Let's see where this goes.
As a visitor of Goblin Valley for over 50 years, This is s Great idea --
but I think it should go the OTHER direction -- Goblin Valley
should be made a "National Park", not a State Park, AND expanded.
Yes, let's expand it, and turn it over to our state so that scout leaders
can get off free when they destroy rock formations.Yet again,
another horrible idea from our "representation."
I've seen a lot of destrution and over use in the past 40 years in this
area. Large parties, church groups, Boy Scouts, etc. No doubt it needs stonger
management. Unfortunately, we are loving our wild places until they start to
look like what we left behind.
I got it!Let's invoke the 2nd Utah Motto-Let's
"Privatize" it, Private industry can also do better. And then, watch as they sell ATV passes for those with the most $$$.
Wow, what a bunch of negative comments. I've seen many state parks that
were/are managed very well and benefitted visitors.
