Congrats to your daughter!

My first job was doing filing and invoicing in a small office, a family run agency. The problem was that the family members didn't get along with each other and were always yelling at each other. I learned that work environment isn't just how your boss treats you, it is also how everyone else treats each other. I had taken a class at school that included databases and had the opportunity to design a simple database for the agency--it was a good learning experience to see that the skills I brought could change what happened at work.

I also learned that a few kids at our school had jobs as tellers in banks and got paid 150% of what I got paid. I stayed for one summer at the agency but then the next summer I looked for a job that was higher paying and a better environment.
