There may come a day when these children will look back and wish that they had had their moment on stage, received the no vote, and gone home.

It takes a special kind of person to handle fame. I don't think that it's good for children.

Midwest Mom sounds like she's speaking from experience.

Meanwhile, Howie M and Mel B had no qualms about sending on a fat man in a plastic red suit wiggling around on rollerblades like an idiot, making the case that such exhibitionist displays show "America's Got Talent." Then when a children's choir appears that actually displays some artistic ability, taste, sense, and oh yes, did I mention talent? -- they are bored, and vote no. Darkness cleaves to darkness...

Which is why it means next to nothing to win or lose on these shows. As often as not, the judges are looking for people that can't shine brighter than themselves.
