Having a high school diploma, having an honorable discharge, my name in the
phone book and a Sears credit card seemed to me important in the 70's.
Sears sold out to Discover which was sold out to Citi bank. That was a big
change because Sears card was known to do credit checks to get a card. The next
big change was Cell phones. It eliminated my name out of the phone book. I went
from a somebody to a nobody.
