What proof is there that the state is better at taking care of children? How many kids in foster care are abused or neglected because of caseworker overload?

If the state wants to help kids, why not provide parenting classes? Many times, bad parents are the result of generations of bad parenting. By breaking the cycle, you help those families heal.

Then again, that would mean that the state would be supporting families, not individuals...
