Just hours before this happened, I saw the full moon rise over the mountains, and remembered reading an article a couple of weeks ago that theorized that said most earthquakes happen either in the morning or the evening at the full moon with tidal forces being the culprit. I wondered to myself if there would be an earthquake somewhere with this full moon. Then this happened...

I felt it while lying on our family room floor. I felt the whole floor move. It lasted a couple seconds.


In Bountiful, about 10 minutes before the quake, our cat started mewing loudly. We just ignored him and he eventually quieted down. As soon as the quake was over, he was happy & purring loudly.
