This makes me sad. In these times, the reality is that hard work is not enough. People are working hard; two, three jobs, no sleep, just to SURVIVE. We're not talking about so called luxuries like cable TV or WiFi...we are talking survival. We are talking having the rent paid, electricity, water, a functional toilet, FOOD. These are not luxuries, these are necessities. And there are not enough hours, or jobs, when the minimum wage will not provide what is needed. Is this "honorable"? Is THIS what they mean by the American Dream? Should we blame those already feeling like failures because they can no longer support their families? Is this even christian?

Love this article! So many kids now days haven't learned the value of hard work! Too many have everything handed to them and feel they are entitled to an easy life! Great lesson to learn from a smart dad! All kids should understand the value and dignity of working hard and achieving something great!
