I miss the era of the classy rivalry Edwards and McBride built. Maybe someday we will get over the hatred Urban Meyer built and Max Hall piled on and the rivalry will be fun again.

Urban may have brought more wins for the Utes but it came at the price of sportsmanship between the two schools. Sad we can't go back to the friendship of Edwards and McBride. Classy guys!

Funny how BYU fans recall the rivalry as fun and good nature d when they held the upper hand during the LaVell heyday of BYU football. Believe me is was not fun and good nature d for Utah fans. Now the football fortunes have been reversed and BYU fans long for past times. So now they have to endure some of what they dished out in the 70's and early 80's and don't like it. For Ute fans it truly is poetic justice.

I beg to differ Silent Lurker.

It was more fun for everyone during the McBride Edwards time. It was fun for me and other UTE fans to trash Paul James yard. Even Paul James got a laugh out of it. If that happened today to Greg Rubell (I think that is his name) someone would get arrested.
