The very same thing could be said about a lot of religions.

If it was found that Jesus' mother, Mary, was not actually a virgin, does that make all of Jesus' teachings invalid?

If we find out that the Noah's Ark story didn't actually happen, literally, the entire world was not flooded, does that make the whole Old Testament a pile of rubbish?

Unfortunately, this lady is finding out the hard way that if you're not truthful in your claims, it directly undermines your cause. Lack of believability is proving to be a serious challenge for many religions, too, as the torrent of information is available to challenge truth-claims.

No one is claiming that because of her lies the entire concept of trafficking is fake. So there is no "very such thing" to use as analogy
