Why didn't Tag Baxter from Wasatch make the All Star Team he has a full ride scholarship for Baseball from the Utes that's kind of odd don't you think?

Surprised not to see Gomez from Jordan for 5A. Shaver was going to be a given considering he was Mr. Baseball, still wrapping head around Krueger. I guess they needed alittle entertainment on the field.

No Cloward or Estey for Bingham in 5A either. One of the 2 of them should've been there for sure.

Looking from Taylorsville, not sure about that combo either. I think underclassmen performed much better than both of West and Davison.

These leaves me to wonder who is the 5A MVP. Could be a disappointing year for sure after all the great playoff games. Wondering if it is really talent that gets these boys on the All-Star team. You could've put 7 of Jordan's team alone. West Jordan Jake Byrd is subpar at best.

Shabby The Baxter kid has an full academic scholarship from Utah and can try to walk on if that's what he wants to try to do, I know they said at Senior day he was playing for the Utes but that's not the case, that's the ego part that had to be shown for something that never existed. He's a smart kid and Utah offered him to go to school for free not a bad deal in my book and something to be proud about not sure why the baseball part had to be added kind of sad.

There are several all-star games and many kids will play in some and not in others. Don't read too much into all of this.

Shabby, Tag broke his leg at the end of the season and wouldn't be able to play in the All-Star game.

Fairytale, before you go slandering a young man, check your facts. The fact is this...Tag has an academic scholarship at the U. He also has a commitment to play baseball for the Utes from the coaching staff. The details of those facts are really none of your business. He worked hard for both and is proud of them. I guess it boils down to the fact that HATERS are going to HATE. Fortunately for Tag, that just motivates him to be better. The sad part of all of this is that you have to hide behind a screen name and tell lies about something you know nothing about. Feel free to come watch him play next year for the U!......go Utes!

That is funny I think Spoonman is hiding behind a screen name also. I am friends with the Utah coaching staff they said that any boy that attends Utah can tryout and that's what this boys option is he was not guaranteed to be on the team. It's nice when kids from Utah make local teams so good luck to him and hope he recovers soon if he's not on the roster next Spring then we will know the truth.
