BYU AD Tom Holmoe joins NCAA Division I men's basketball selection committee

    Congratulations to Tom. This is a significant appointment.

    I would expect Tom to be an advocate for the U to get in the tournament field if the circumstance ever arises that the committee is deciding whether to put the Utes in as the 7th team from the PAC-12.

    I can't think of anything the Utes or their fans have ever done that would cause him to be anything but a strong and willing advocate for the U.

    More respect for BYU with Tom Holmoe being chosen to be a member of the NCAA Division I men's basketball selection committee.

    The real question, dear jealous CB, is

    "Why would the PAC 12 be interested in hiring the commissioner of the WCC?"

    Obviously, some of the best and brightest minds exist outside of the hallowed halls of the power conferences.

    Why would the WCC commissioner leave the top position in the WCC for a level well below commissioner in the Pac 12?
