I was another Cougar fan who at the same time was happy to see Carlino go AND wished him well.

At the end of the year, would you have traded Carlino for Davis?

Let's compare the two:

We all know the obvious numbers (Carlino 13.7-3.4-4.6 vs Davis 9.1-7.6-0.4) --ppg/reb/assists

But Carlino shot 38.5% from the field, Davis 50.3%. Both shot 68% from the free throw line. Carlino gave up 2.0 turnovers a game, Davis 1.6.

Davis' game is tighter and truer. He doesn't do as much as Carlino but what he does he does better.

And here are Davis' numbers against Mika, Austin & Collinsworth based on playing a full 40 minutes per game:

Davis: 14.5--12.2--2.1 (ppg--reb--blks)
Mika: 18.5--10.0--1.1
Austin: 5.7--11.9--1.3
Kyle C.16.7--9.7--0.5

He's going to provide the Cougars good defense, offense when they need it and he's not going to throw a lot of passes into the stands.

Sounds like he is on a tour of Utah Universities. SUU as a freshman, USU as a sophomore, BYU as a junior and finally U of U as a senior.
