@ Bleed Crimson: Your opinion about Van Noy hurting himself by not
opting for the draft last year isn't shared by some knowledgeable NFL
people. A quote from a recent article in the DN had this to say... word for
word:"NFL Network's Mike Mayock said Van Noy's
decision to stay for his senior season at BYU, instead of leaving after his
unforgettable performance in the 2012 Poinsettia Bowl, helped the linebacker.
"He became known as one of the best all-around linebackers in college
football. There's been a buzz about him the last month or six weeks. The
buzz has been he does everything well."It's understandable
why most BYU fans would put more stock in the opinion of an NFL insider like
Mike Maycock than that of a known Ute fan who seldom if ever says anything
positive about BYU or its players. Most of us feel Van Noy did make the right
decision by staying and maturing his game for another year. He'll very soon
reap the benefits from it.
@ Where is Hadley:Which specific BYU fans (and when was it) said
that Van Noy would be going in the first round of the NFL draft? I read the
articles all year and don't recall reading any comments like that.
It's possible an individual fan might've felt that way. But you are
making it sound like it was something the entire fan base in general said. As such, I'm relatively certain you're making things up just
to stir up more controversy between the fans of the BYU and Utah. Seems like
kind of a juvenile thing to do.
I was surprised Su'a-Filo did not go to Denver or Seattle @ 31 or 32.I expect he will go early in round 2... maybe even to Seattle @ 40?Good luck Xavier!
The draft is about needs - I would rather KVN go to a good team than a dumpster
fire like Jax
Bleed CrimsonA 2nd round draft pick is still a high draft pick.-----------Not worthy of using the Hadley nameIt's laughable that you're mocking BYU, when no Utah players have
High draft pick usually equals crappy team. Who the heck cares anyway? If you
get picked, that's freaking awesome! You get to play in the NFL! What can
be better for a football player anyway. Besides, look at the career Tom Brady
has had. He was not a high draft pick. I'd love to play in the NFL no
matter where I got picked but sadly, my gender basically prohibited me from
Kyle Van Noy should have declared for the draft last year while his stock was
high. Staying for his senior year at BYU hurt his potential of being a high
And after byu fans told us all year that Van Noy was a first round pick, maybe
even top 10 pick.
Broncos insider says Kyle Van Noy is at the top of Denver's board going
into day 2.
