Utahbluedevil: I was against going to war when Bush was president! no double standard here! I have the same antipathy toward Republicans as I do for Democrats! Obama just happens to be the latest President manipulating, lying, and abusing his office and position! Anyone that thinks either party is doing what is best for America is delusional! I would like to hear anyone from either party explain how they are a friend to liberty and justice! The rich get richer, whether Under Republican or Democrats, and the poor get poorer, and will go to my grave listening to leaders from both parties claiming they are out to help Americans, particularly the poor and middle class. Then, to add another layer of irony, watch the unbelievable number of tireless supporters with jaw dropping audacity claim year after year how much their party is going to change things! Talk about knee slapping humor!

How could Benghazi stink any more than it does? Maybe if a smoking gun email surfaced showing a cover up. Oh wait . . .

So many questions that have never been answered. What were doing in Benghazi at all -- when the British, the Red Cross and everyone else had left? Why were PLEAS for additional security days and weeks before the attack ignored? Why were no assets deployed after the attack began? Where was Obama during the attack?? Why has no one been brought to justice? Why hasn't there been access to witnesses? Why all the lies about some spontaneous demonstration?

And all we get is spin from the left that only fringe wackos want answers. It's clear what was political. Obama was concerned about the election and has been hiding the truth from the American people.

SoCalChris - lets address your comments one at a time.

Spontaneous demonstrations - fact is in over a dozen cities in the region, there were demonstrations against the stupid little film. It is not like this event happened in isolation while nothing else was going on.

Why has no one been brought to justice - why no witnesses? Same reason there were none for years with 9/11. Libya is a sovereign country, and we can not safely go around interrogating people in that country. It is the reason it took years to get other terrorist. This is not an episode of 24, its real life.

Where was Obama - we know where he was. That has never been in question. He was trusting the military to do their job.

Why no assets.... great question, and one that deserves more investigation. I agree with you.

Why were the pleas ignored? Actually the report shows that there were offers of additional resources that the ambassador turned down. That one we may never no the answer to.

What was he doing there, in Benhazi, under those conditions. Let me add what was the CIA doing there? Again, we may only know when the docs get declassified.

What is the cover up?

Why the cover up ?

Why all the lies?

You need to ask the right questions.

The real scandal that is being covered up is the gun running by this administration to radical groups.

The obama administration was running guns to radical groups in the middle east.
The ambassador was in Benghazi to help broker a deal.

Four Americans were left to die so obama could hide this scandal. That also makes this administration complicit in their murder.

You just need ask and understand WHY the ambassador was in Benghazi at all that day.

It would be nice if our media would do their jobs rather than help bury the truth.

This was a horrible event, BUT ...

During Bush, we had 13 similar events and over 60 brave US citizens died - where was the right-wing outrage then?

Seems they were cheering on an invasion of Iraq based on phony "intelligence" regarding Weapons of mass destruction?

To "MoNoMo" really? The US was received warnings 13 times before embassies were attacked, then lied to the families of the dead soldiers and the public by blaming an obscure YouTube video that nobody watched. Can you tell us when we had that scenario under Bush. I am aware that embassies were attacked, but how many received warnings, were ignored, then had coverups?

Reagan and Iran-Contra, fourteen administration officials were indited, including then - secretary of defense Caspar Weinberger. Eleven convictions resulted.

On March 4, 1987, Reagan taking full responsibility for any actions that he was unaware of, and admitting that "what began as a strategic opening to Iran deteriorated, in its implementation, into trading arms for hostages"

Now how many members of Obama's administration should be indited and when will he admit.

Censors, How is this to much capitalization, shouting or other problems. In response to previous statement of not seeking prosecution of Reagan.

In Iran Contra laws were broken. What laws were broken in Benghazi? Initial information about who was responsible was wrong wow that has never happened in the history of America. What laws were broken? This is ridiculous, doesn't Mr. Chaffetz think there are more pressing issues in America. We will spend millions of dollars on another investigation to prove what we already know. The initial information was inaccurate.

This is from a piece in the May 6, 2014 New Yorker, entitled "Ronald Reagan’s Benghazi". It is worth noting, especially for Mr. Chaffetz and his fellow conspirators:

"Congress held no public hearings, and pointed fingers at the perpetrators, not at political rivals. If you compare the costs of the Reagan Administration’s serial security lapses in Beirut to the costs of Benghazi, it’s clear what has really deteriorated in the intervening three decades. It’s not the security of American government personnel working abroad. It’s the behavior of American congressmen at home."

Yeah, Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi!!! This is THE most critical issue our country has EVER faced. 4 people were killed and for a couple of days the administration said it was the result of a spontaneous demonstration. Until the facts were clear, and then they corrected themselves. Oh no!! This is right up there with Watergate and Pearl Harbor and 9/11, all rolled into one!!!! Maybe twice as bad!!!!! I get it, I get it. You hate Obama. Frankly, the only story here is why were these people working in a hotbed location with insufficient security. That's it. That should be (and has been) investigated. The rest of it is just silly partisan baloney. But it is nice, juicy red meat for the far right, and that's what they love the most.

I'm starting to think that the GOP is doing this just so that Fox News has substance upon which to "report" and earn more millions, as quid pro quo for Fox News supporting the GOP so staunchly.

Benghazi needs to addressed because during the investigations the question of "why was the order given to STAND DOWN when support was requested, PLEAD FOR, knowing FULL WELl that the attack would mean bad things for the Benghazi people? And you think Chaffetz and others are wasting their time? I don't think so. It is because of this and other "incidents" NOT BEING ADDRESS that continue to be a benchmark of this administration that other world leaders look at and are emboldened by our leaders lack of response. IT IS TELLING that there are some who think that Benghazi was a long time ago. No it wasn't - what a way to try to sweep a huge injustice to four families away, to divert attention from those people's plight when they pleaded for help, and to try to blind others as well with "why are we always talking about this? (Pelosi) If it was YOUR loved one who died, wouldn't you want answers, too.?

Effort by the republicans toward helping ordinary Americans

Rather than more and more and more picking at President Obama

Would be greatly appreciated, even though it is their duty and what they are paid for

The virulent attacks against Chaffetz show that Democrats fear their lies are being uncovered. 2014 and then 2016 will remove many more lying liberals from power

Each year right here in Utah --

400+ people die from polluted air,
500+ die from medication overdoses,
400+ die from gun shots --

And Jason Chaffetz remains obsessed with starting yet another investigation into Benghazi!

I am starting to think that Bro. Chaffetz took too many hits to the head while trying to play football...the ringing still hasn't stopped after lo these many years.

Wasn't Bengazi already investigated? If it was, then whoever did the initial investigation needs to be held to accountability. Where is that discussion? How much more money is gong to be spent? $50,000,000, $100,000,000. Isn't the country broke? What will the outcome of the investigation be? Is it just Republican insecurity for the 2016 Presidential Election? Or are processes and procedures going to be changed? Haven't they already been changed?

It all points to Republican insecurities, if it isn't that then provide the accountability, the change in processes and procedures.
