"A foreign policy of self-delusion"
-----------

Considering that Obamacare is considered his signal achievement, and as we continue to be stuck in the longest "recovery" from a recession in our history, and with the work participation percentage the lowest in 38 years, it's clear that the self-delusion isn't restricted to foreign policy.

But, remember folks, this is Obama's **second** term! The real culprits in this rolling disaster is the electorate. We put these people in power and it is up to us to replace them with others who are more capable.

Obama's problem is that all his life he gotten by with only his rhetoric. Obama and his devotees have confused principle with rhetoric! Obama thinks if he says enough words, things will happen, people will listen to him, respect his words and things will get done. His words may have gotten him elected but now he finds himself in the real world and his words are not cutting it! Putin, N. Korea, al Qaida, Iran and even our allies are not impressed with ever more Obama rhetoric, as we are seeing. Obama has emboldened our enemies and vastly disappointed our allies with very little principle but tons of rhetoric!

Hilarious, that an irresponsible commentator, like Chuck, should be held unaccountable for his drum beat for wars in the Middle East. Even more hilarious that the right wing continues to bash Obama's foreign policy. Have they so quickly forgotten their own disastrous foreign policy? Sorry, but the right has no credibility to criticize others.

If anyone is delusional, it is Charles Krauthammer and "Conservatives" in general.

The Republicans have become the Party of whiners, complainers, obstructionists, destroyers and non-achievers, snakes in the grass hissing complaints and plotting dark revenge for non-misdeeds.

They contribute NOTHING to this country, and yet they consider themselves able to govern America.

Now THAT is delusional.

Hey Gary O. If you think Obama has helped this country, you are delusional! Do you hear laughter? Not from Americans but from al Qaida, Putin, Iran and N. Korea! If you can't hear it, perhaps you are not listening.

Oh to create an entire career -- nah, an entire INDUSTRY -- around trash talking any President who is not a Republican.

"Hey Gary O. If you think Obama has helped this country, you are delusional! Do you hear laughter? Not from Americans but from al Qaida, Putin, Iran and N. Korea! If you can't hear it, perhaps you are not listening."
Here at the facts:
No attacks on US soil, fewer attacks against Americans overseas than previous Bush league president, respected overseas, Iran contanied, Al Quaida just a wannabe terriost group and GOP wars being closed down.
Conservatives and the military industrial complex just hate it when liberals keep us safe.

Mav, just what foreign policy of Bush's are you talking about? You will mention Afganistan and Iraq. I'd respectfully disagree with you on both. Obama is abandoning both countries which will now lapse into civil war. If we would have had sound rules of engagement in both places over the last six years, there would be no Taliban resergence nor radical islam resurgence in Iraq. I'd have told Karzai in Afganistan that our troops protection is paramount and if they are fired upon, they will fire back. We will do all we can to protect the innocent but our troops safety and security trump anything else. I can't think of one Obama "triumph" in foreign policy. Even Carter was able to bring Eygpt and Israel to the table. Obama can't even do that. His tacit support of the "Arab Spring" has made the middle east a much less safe and secure area.

That sounds like Harry Reid and the Democratic US Senate.

I'd just like to see republicans be consistent on ONE foreign policy point. You flip flop so fast the thing we know is that you will say the opposite of whatever Obama does.

Thid Barker –

So you think Obama is an international laughing stock? Wrong. He has more international respect than GW ever did.

“ . . . al Qaida, Putin, Iran and N. Korea . . . “ are laughing huh?

“Conservatives” are insanely jealous of No Drama Obama who got Osama . . . after GW and his gang of non-achievers tried for years and failed miserably.

The GW administration did succeed in destabilizing the Middle East by attacking Iraq though, thus elevating Iran to major power status in the Middle East to the detriment of the USA. I’m sure the Iranians are still laughing about that.

Putin? Putin is a dunce who took over Crimea, a money pit that had almost bankrupted the Ukraine, and now it’s going to help bankrupt Russia. The best thing Obama could do in that case, is let Putin be as stupid and self-destructive as he wants to be. Putin is just appealing to his Conservative base, and you know how badly that is going to turn out.

And North Korea? Their government claims North Koreans are the happiest people in the world. Let them laugh.

They are almost as delusional as American “Conservatives.”
