I have a grandson who has muscular dystrophy. As he submitted his mission papers, our family fasted and prayed that he would called to serve. I went to the temple each week to offer my most fervent prayers. I wept when his mother called. All she said was, "Georgia Atlanta."

We love his mission president and his wife for their service not only to the Lord, but to this grandson. The future for this choice young man is uncertain. What is certain is that the Lord answers our prayers, and my grandson is having a wonderful mission.

I love learning about this family! This inspires me. My husband and I have a disable son, and we want to serve a full-time mission some day. We also want our son to be able to serve the Lord as a church service missionary as well, and it would be a wonderful experience for all three of us to serve together. I hope we can,

There truly is a place for everyone to serve. All it takes it a little creativity and looking at the situation in a new way.

God needs everyone, and has a purpose for all of us.

I'm pretty sure Elder Lake was my seminary teacher - 34 years ago. Ouch!

I love to read uplifting and encouraging email such as these. Bless that young man's heart for wanting to serve Heavenly Father.
