The Tourney is certainly stacked in Loyola's favor--at home and don't have to face the MPSF team until the final.
I don't understand why the Tourney doesn't take 8 teams. I think the MPSF certainly deserves to have more than 2 teams in the National Tournament.

I am not too excited about BYU having to face Stanford again as their next opponent. It is hard to beat a top 3 team 3 consecutive times. Especially when they know you so well.

My bad... BYU would have to beat Stanford a 4th time this year to advance to the finals... Bummer.

Well, Pepperdine got robbed, which in turn means Loyola doesn't have to play an MPSF team until the championship match, whereas BYU and Stanford will have to duke it out again in the other semifinal. One gets the feeling that the NCAA ~really~ wants Loyola to win this one, but I'd bet on the MPSF every time at season's end. The real championship will be determined on Thursday--I just hope the Cougs bring their A game.

Let's go cougs. Sanders needs to go out with a bang.

You have to wonder how the Cougars will do in the "Gentile" arena....

I wonder why the NCAA won't let BYUTV broadcast the early games.

The folks who run the NCAA don't like BYU and always schedule them in any event in the worst possible position.

For the Cougs to beat Stanford for a fourth time and then likely play Loyola on their home floor is a bit much to ask. Having a national NCAA championship played at a team's home field/arena/court/field is bush league.

Except for NCAA Men's Basketball, the NCAA has always placed a higher priority on selling tickets than worrying about a participate having home court advantage.

BYU will just have to do it one more time versus the Cardinal, then avenge their early season loss at Loyola-Chicago.

The team I really feel sorry for is Pepperdine. The Top Four teams in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Rankings are:

#1 BYU
#2 Loyola-Chicago
#3 Stanford
#4 Pepperdine

Lewis is ranked #10, yet they somehow got the invite over Pepperdine. Eight MPSF teams are ranked higher than Lewis.
