I would be curious to now why Elmer C. Newman thinks women should be forced to sing a song that says they are men, and that their purpose is to provide a "fair" (i.e., pretty) face for the school. The women who attend the UofU are there for the same reason men are there -- to get an education that will give them the education and training necessary to pursue a career. They are NOT there for the "other purposes" inherent in the original meaning of co-ed (the MRS degree). The fight song of the UofU, as currently written, shortchanges women. If I were a Ute fan (I'm not -- my alma mater is another state), I would not sing it.
