Missed this one - wish I could have been there.Question: did not see
Heaps in the box score. Was he out sick or ??? Looks like Sutton did well,
My wife and I have become spoiled with the great BYUtv coverage of this and last
seasons' matches. When the games are not played in the SFH, we can't
stand not having them available live or on-demand. Specifically, kudos to Steve
and Jarom for the always excellent and entertaining calls on BYUtv.Great job Men's V-ball team. Lots of question marks coming into the
match after that last road stretch, and it was great to see you come out
swinging, and then keeping your foot on the Trojans' chest all night.
I'm a USC fan except when they play BYU, so nothing but joy in the outcome,
although I always wish the NC game could be between my two teams, and with that
early exit, no chance they will be in the NCAA tourney this year, alas.
Wow. Between great serving, great passing, and Sutton's (generally) great
set location/distribution/speed, this was the Cougs' best match of he year
by far. If they can play that way for four more matches, this is a
national-championship caliber team.
That is the way to dominate a team, go out and TAKE the momentum and then build
on it. Great match, now go out there Thursday and take care of business. The
Sandman needs to go out with a NC for all he has been for four years. DO IT.GO COUGS !
This was an incredibly fun match to watch. Thanks BYUtv!
I was very impressed with Sutton the backup setter. He really Rose to the
occasion. He can take much of the credit for the very high hitting percentage
last night. They were high and accurate. That was just one, you guys,
keep the pedal to the metal.
Congratulations on a dominant win over the Trojans. Good luck against the Bruin.
Let's ROC the house Thursday!
