It is really a two edged sword using Manning with live tackling, Yes, on one
side we may indeed need him in the fall but on the other side we may want him to
have more live experience avoiding tacklers. I am confident that Manning has the
skills to avoid tacklers. He seems to be a very pocket savvy QB with a great
feel for the game. He will never throw six or seven interceptions in a game,
that is for sure.
Personally, I would have preferred they keep Manning off limits to tackling as
well as Wilson. AS positive as Wilson's prognosis has been, he has still
YET been cleared to play in the Fall. A worst-case scenario for Utah would be
Manning goes down with an injury, and Wilson fails his final medical clearance
in July. And then we're down to Schulz -- the walk-on -- and the guy that
couldn't beat him out for the #3 QB (Cox).And I know that KT
will be here in the Fall, but he's not here now, so we don't really
know how he'll turn out.Go Utes!
