The Jazz need a new coach. Corbin just isn't getting the job done and
likely never will. I wish him the best of luck in the future, but I hope the
Jazz move on.
In watching the Jazz, I find myself saying--"these guys won't run the
coaches offense," or "this coach just can't get these guys to play
hard," so I think I should be joining the group that thinks it's time
for this guy (who I truly respect) to move on. I think that they do play hard,
just not that often and they are simply not much of a team to this point. Will
they grow into one? Well, if you look at the last two months of this season,
where we should have seen signs that they are gelling and know how to handle
tough fourth quarters? No--they are not getting better. Not even incrementally
(to any promising extent). No ping pong ball is going to change that and we are
left with just hoping that one or two of them become much better ball players
and the rest follow suit. I think the sad truth might be that this young corps
of players (one of which might leave anyway)--is not developing as expected.
I have all the respect in the world for Corbin. But it is not in the
Jazz's best interest to bring him back next year. I wish him luck in a new
position but the Jazz need change. My vote would be for David Joerger with the
Grizzlies. A defensive genius.
Add my name to the card!!! I have so much respect for this man.
