Even though I do not have kids, I always feel something strong inside when I read these things! I am a 48 year old gay man and I know how these kids can feel. Adults can be bullies also and sometimes they don't even have to be a bully, but their words and actions pierce the heart and soul! I think it is harder here in Utah because most of us were raised LDS and there is suppose to be a sense of belonging. At least I always did when I was young. Most of the criticism has come in later years. I know people have their beliefs, but it goes beyond that! Think about it! Do you know what it is like to have people constantly tell you that there is something wrong with you! Let me tell you, it is hard, and so I feel a lot for these young people. They shouldn't have to experience it. My parents and the members around me always taught me to care about others. In Church, I do remember the lessons about who we are and where we come from! We need to be an example!
