I'm very excited to see this duo in action! I've been watching Zach
tear it up for quite some time and it will be nice to see Nick shine too. The
Aggies have consistently had the best linebacker corps in the state for the past
few years now. Sure you get standouts at all schools- Bobby Wagner (USU), Kyle
Van Noy (BYU), and Trevor Reilly (Utah). But as a collective group, the Utah
State linebackers take the cake as best-in-show, hands down! There's a
reason the Aggies have been among the nation's Top-10 defenses the last two
years! Go get 'em boys. I want an SEC victory to start off the season
right! AGGIES > Vols
Amen brother Go Aggies
@U-State1888You aren't getting the SEC victory. Nobody thinks
Looking forward to another outstanding Aggie Defense. Go Big Blue!!!
Considering that USU played Utah, Wisconsin and Auburn extremely close the last
few years; the Aggies have an excellent chance of knocking off Tennessee.
"Nobody"??? Sorry to spoil your all encompassing group but there are a
huge number of "Somebodys" that think they stand a good chance of
@Richard...Nobody thought utah had a chance against Stanford last year
either. The Aggies took Auburn to the wire a few years ago, so you never
know... least of all you
@Homer from HoytsvilleOkay I stand corrected. Only the aggie
fan's think you stand a chance guys. You lost all of those games.
Doesn't matter how close you were you lost.@Ifel ofa-sofaStill don't know who Richard is. Did the aggies win? Utah beat
Stanford and USU lost to Auburn so I guess I know a little more than a few of
I think the Ags will actually pull off the upset this time. Tennessee has
name-brand recognition like USC, Auburn, and Wisconsin... but that's where
the similarities end. It's tough for any non-BCS team to go on the road and
win against essentially the cream of the crop (USC, Auburn, and Wisconsin) of
the big conferences. Tennessee is decidedly a very middle of the
road, if not poor, SEC team. They had one good victory last season (barely won
against the Gamecocks), and they are completely rebuilding both interior lines
for 2014 with tons of freshmen. They have more talent than USU, but
they lack the experience and cohesion of USU. Probably another close game, but
USU should win it, especially if Keeton is 100%. I'll be
rooting for ya!
Every year you think USU will pull the upset against a big school and every year
Stang08, you know USU rocks. They are the ONLY Utah football team to both
receive votes and/or be ranked in the top 25 the past two years at the end of
the season . They were ranked 16, 17, and 22 two years ago, and 37 this past
year. Both higher that the Y or U.Yes, no big signature wins, but
the Aggies have had close games against Oklahoma and Auburn the past few years.
Auburn won by the skin of their teeth a few years back and USC barely won this
year. It was handed to them by the Aggies, as they threw away two chances to
score in the last two possessions. It was a 3 point game, and that same USC
team later demolished the U by 16 points. The Aggies have beat both the Y and
the U in the last few years, and have had other close games as well. They gave
Northern Illlinois (a ranked team who was as high as 14 last year) a good
spanking in their bowl game, and that team ended up being the highest-ranking
team that the Aggies played at the end of the year.We always
believe! Believe It! Go Aggies!
@KermitNo I don't. Haven't I made that clear? Only you
are comparing them the Utah and BYU. The time I mention all three schools in
the same sentence is when they play each other and USU losses like always. Go
ahead and mention the only time they've ever beaten Utah and BYU. Close
doesn't count in football. You either win or lose. USU cannot/did not win
those games. They only beat Utah and BYU every 100 years and can't beat a
big team. End of story. Not a real bowl game so who cares.
Hey great news all. The Arkansas State game got moved to September 20th. That
means we get our bye week before BYU and Mountain West play. It's good for
the team's mentality and preventing injuries, and it gives us extra time to
prepare for an 8-game stretch. Thought you would like to know.@KermitThere's no point in arguing with SUU's only fan.
Just leave it alone.
@SamboneI'm not the only fan. Not by a long shot. Since I see
U-State1888 is the first to comment I can easily say he is the only USU fan.
Especially since he is the only one to actually make a comment about the article
Unlike someone people who claim to ignore me.
Both players are incredible. I've watched Zack's work ethic for the
past couple of years. No one outworks him. I was always most impressed with
Zack treated Nick. Nick is an incredibly gifted and fast athlete. Fun to watch
them their final year together.
