Either take up a trade, or go to college and swipe tens of thousands of dollars
worth of toilet paper. Also, nobody owes anybody who isn't making a decent
wage a holiday in the spring.
The way to get your money back from college is to major in something people will
actually pay you for. Too many of these "degrees to nowhere" are
hobbies masquerading as academic pursuits. If you major in film you're
likely going to spend your life waiting tables. There's nothing wrong with
waiting tables if that's what you want, but skip the film degree and just
get a job waiting tables.
"Degrees to nowhere" is such a politically motivated crock. I got one of
those so-called degrees to nowhere, and I make six figures, love my life and my
education, and wouldn't trade it for anything! The purpose of education is
not just to crank out trained people for the job market. It is to enrich the
soul, society, and humanity, as well as to preserve and pass on human
intelligence, history, and values. People who don't recognize that are for
sale to the highest bidder because they have no souls - oh, I guess that's
why we hear about "degrees to nowhere" mostly from politicians!?
