2013 Ute Seniors SWEEP byU 4-0
Ogden, UT

byu's 2014 schedule is like Utah's 2013-2014 basketball schedule. Total power conference teams:

Texas(good one)
Virginia(dead last in ACC, only 1 win against division 1 teams all year - against byu LOL)
Cal(dead last in Pac 12)

Even if byu did go on a quest(lol you wont), the playoff committee would take a 2 loss pac 12 or sec team over an undefeated(lol it wont happen) byu team with this schedule

And I thoguth ESPN and your independence was going to get you great schedules?

I'm a BYU fan as everyone knows on here but I doubt we go undefeated this year. I'm predicting we lose to at least one team we should beat and beat at least one team we should lose to. That's how most years go for most teams. To me the difference seems to be mental toughness. For whatever reason, BYU teams don't have that killer competitive instincts. Maybe they don't think they deserve to be completely successful, spent too much time being meek & humble, or try to dispel the calls of arrogance. I don't know but it seems more mental than talent. Yes, BYU gets less talent than some big time programs but we should be competing better than we do sometimes.
One area where we've got to improve is the play on the line. These guys need to be big, strong, and coached to open up running lanes. The offensively line especially needs to really step it up or our talented skill players can't do their thing. It all starts there. They also need to get the TE more involved to improve in the red/blue zone. Go Coug's!

souptwins,

Last year was Texas the game you shouldn't have won and Virginia the game you shouldn't have lost? Sounds about right.

Mixed in there are games you should have lost(and did) to Utah, Wisconsin, and Notre Dame.
