Another reason why many rational people continue to distance themselves from the Republican party. Too many people with extreme views trying to force those views on everyone else. The GOP tent continues to get narrower. I also hear that Ms. Mulet is a consultant working on Republican campaigns against other Republicans. No conflict there!!!! Where's the media on that story? But then, since the consulting company mentioned in her various bio's isn't registered with the State of Utah one can never really be sure.

Many rational people find it impossible to subscribe to the prevailing trend in Washington of the collectivism without limits championed by President Obama. The federal government needs take no more steps to become Leviathan, it already is. Rational people who enjoy freedom more than the security of being governed in every aspect of their lives, and and who regret the burdening of the economy with ever more "public servants," mandates, regulations, market interference, deficit spending, judicial paternalism, wealth transfer schemes, and so on ad nauseam, look for a political philosophy based upon different concepts of the nobility of human nature, the means of prosperity, states' rights, limited government, the rule of law, and forsaking the Grand Strategy for a conservative approach to national security, among other things. Rational? Democrats have a monopoly on being rational? The current insane approach to governance, shared by Republicans who fancy themselves conservatives but have no idea of what that ought to mean, is no recommendation for rationality.

NOW we find out why he resigned: abuse charges (against his wife, with five children present).

Three marriages, lots of kids, three divorces -- and he parades around crowing about the "sanctity of marriage".

I know gay people, and none of them display what Bennion has in his own private life.
His first wife divorced him because he wouldn't be a job (and while pregnant, she worked two full-time jobs); they lived in his parents' basement.

Utah Republicans: got any ADULTS in the room who aren't swindler-swallows or payday loan sharks?
