If you had told me before the season we'd beat our rival Colorado, UCLA, ASU, several others in the Pac 12 and finish the season 9-9 in the Pac 12 and 21-11 overall, and be one of the best teams going into the NIT I think we'd all have taken that. Mostly insignificant, but a nice addition was embarrassing our former rival.

We have NBA talent in Wright and a talented group including Loveridge, Taylor, Brekkot Chapman, and Van Dyke that is better than we've had in 15 years probably.

The future of Pac 12 Ute basketball is bright.

My guess is the next team to win a sweet 16 game from the state of Utah will be the same as the last team to win a sweet 16 game from the state of Utah - and that would be the Univeristy of Utah pac 12 utes.

Proud of you guys!

The Utes are lucky the Pac12 was extremely mediocre this year. 9-9 in league might get them into the NIT with all those preseason wins at home against the Jr Colleges. Colorado is no more the Utes rival than any other team in the conference. Maybe you could refer to Colorado as the "by default" rival at best since all the other teams actually have a real rival. If having a rival is a requirement then I guess Colorado is the only team that fits.

jmn2db14,

the pac 12 is going to get at least 6 teams in the tournament, trailing possibly on the Big 12(with only 10 teams because there aren't any worthy teams available to be added to make 12)

the wcc will likely get 1 team

Pac 12: 6 teams
WCC: 1 team

The Pac 12 was 7-2 against the lowly wcc this year.

Show some respect to those better than you.

Since all you Utes fans have so much PAC 12 pride, what good would the NIT do? You already got to play in what's obviously the best tournament of them all. The PAC 12 tourney!!!

Do I see a USF vs Utah game in the near future? Utah better hope it is a home game. Because if they play and Utha loses these comment boards will become an echo chamber.

I remember last year that the ute fans were bagging on the Cougars for ONLY making it to the NIT.

It seems like they are now saying that the NIT for the utes would be a good thing. Please tell me the difference ute fans. I am guessing that the difference is that BYU is used to going to the NCAA and the utes are used to sitting at home in March. Can anyone see the difference in the two programs?

Onward and upward to where?

5 points and 1-8 shooting is not the makings of an NBA prospect, not by a long shot

How would these two stat lines strike you? Player A: 3-13 FG, 6 PT, 2 TO. Player B: 1-3 FG, 3 PT, 5 TO, 5 F. Player A: Selected 14th overall in 2013 NBA draft. Player B: Projected top 10 pick in 2014 NBA draft. Players have bad games. Harping on someone's worst performance and disrespecting them is pretty telling of one's character.

But seriously folks!

StGtoSLC must still be reeling from yesterday's beatdown to come up withg a good comment like that.

All the BYU fans are really showing their true colors. Let me see, what tournament were the Cougars in last year?

"Reeling." So much so that I was able to wake up early this morning, go to work, and continue to live a good, happy life, just the same as if the Utes had won. That's kind of what having a life is all about, but I don't wanna spoil the surprise for you.
