Ugly? That's an interesting comment used several times.

Who cares! We WON! For goodness sake, I'll take a WIN any day. They continued to fight hard, and that's what this article should have said. Interesting grading, also. How about a category of overcoming all obstacles and winning the game in overtime: A!

Go Cougars against Gonzales!

Whether you win by 50 or by 1, it goes down in the column the same. The Y needs to stop the scoring droughts if they want to be Gonzaga.

BYUalum, did you watch the game? Ugly is a great word to describe the win. The writer isn't saying he doesn't care about the win, just that it was very ugly. And it really was! I'm glad we won, but it was hard to watch the end of regulation with those silly turnovers and terribly executed final play that ended with a bad look and a blocked shot.

the cougs won and didn't play anywhere near their best game. everyone did whatever was needed to get the win; rebounding, defending, scrapping, Leads seem to be a curse for the cougs. we play better when the score is close. hmm? Rose should fix that.

I wished sometimes Jay Yeomans would rate the Refs. I haven't watch the game, on DVR. Were the regular WCC phantoms calls?

"Were the regular WCC phantoms calls?"

Actually, it was kind of the opposite of that--they let them play. There were several questionable no-calls which was frustrating but the refs played it both ways. Mika got away with a really ugly push off that would have had Cougarnation up in arms if it had been USF fouling us.

Just curious why Winder wasnt considered to take that last shot in regulation? THat would be going with the hot hand.

regular shooting must improve tonight and free throws & rebounding need to stay strong. BYU can be considered a true conference champion if they win tonight.
