It's probably a good move long term for the program. Although, it's going to take $$$$. But excuse me if I'm a little bit skeptical on their argument that it's going to bring increased exposure to the programs. Especially in the press. They've had great basketball teams over there for a decade. National contenders with rosters filled with good local kids and they get what, one or two articles a season written about them here and in the Trib? They rarely even get their scores included in the "state colleges" section. Even the photograph attached to this article is from a year ago! What, none of the local papers could get a photographer to shoot any of the current teams at home this year? Or even ask the SID for a current action shot? How often does NCAA DII Dixie State get covered here. Probably not even as often as the JC's. And they have a football team. So again, excuse my skepticism that this is going to bring great media exposure.
