And that my friends is how you beat a ranked team! Nice close out. Winder is player of the game!

Nice job Cougars! Still some hopes of going dancing!

After a dominating win, BYU leaves no doubt, that in basketball. they are University of Utah.

Great to see the Marriott Center rocking! The Roc is doing some great things this year. Nothing like packing in 20,000+ to see us take down a ranked team!

Go Cougs!

Las Vegas, NV

Good win Cougs! I'm proud of ya. Player of the game Anson Winder 17 points and (more importantly and impressively) 10-10 on the free throw line.

Salt Lake City, UT

They did it. They did it. First win over a ranked team in 2 years. Good win.

Well done cougs!! That's the second best win in the state this year... The other one? BYU beating Texas. By far the best team in the state!! They played great d and tons of offensive rebounds. Big contributions from bench players. When we win out the rest of our games and make it, hopefully to the championship game in the wcc, we will be in the big dance. Good job boys, you made us proud!! Keep it up!
Go Cougs!!

Gonzaga didn't play like a ranked team. They will go 1 and out in the NCAA's.

Nice win by the Cougars tonight. Winder was HUGE and was the X factor in this win - 10 for 10 from the line he was awesome. Dave Rose gets an A+ for sitting Mika at the beginning of each half. By far the best defense this team has played all year. Solid game start to finish by the entire team.

Salt Lake City, Utah

Big win for BYU over the conference leading, Top 25 Bulldogs!

Elk Grove, CA

Great win by the Cougars. This win keeps our hopes up for an at-large bid at the Big Dance. I just wish the BYU men's team would at with this sense of urgency on a regular basis.

Richfield, UT

At least there is one team in the state who can still beat a ranked team.

Now we know for sure who the premier college basketball team is in the state of Utah. And the only one likely to go to the NCAA tournament this year.

Utah's win over them earlier this season now appears to be a fluke. Utah won the early season battle. But BYU is winning the season-long war. That undoubtedly counts the most.

LaVerkin, Utah

Winder is a winner and definitely a keeper. Way to go Winder.

Definitely an all around team win! Will send a post card from the NCAA tourney to all the ute fans.

Provo, UT

I was there. That was a good win. Go Cougars!

Both u and BYU host top 25 teams. Great to see good teams come to the state. We all know each team fared. Nuf said.

But seriously folks!

Points from unlikely sources tonight. It is great to have so much talent on one team. BYU is a fairly young so the future looks very bright, plus they have several yearsof top recruits in the pipeline. It's a great time to be a Coug.

Alpine, UT

Good to see the coaches do what several have suggested in the last few weeks. Start Winder. Get more even scoring. Take out Collinsworth in the last 2 minutes of the game so he won't miss free throws.

Being at the game I did notice that they could have done a few more simple give and go plays with Haws. They were there while the triple screen stuff wasn't. There were at least three times Haws was wide open right after he passed off and the guards didn't get it back to him.

Payson, UT

Nice win.

Salt Lake City, Utah

ESPN has BYU back in the tourney this morning as one of the Last Four In. BYU's RPI is up to #37 and BYU's SOS is at #18.

Interestingly, ESPN also has Weber St (Big Sky) and Utah Valley (WAC) in the tourney set to face each other in the First Round.
