RE the rumor that Jazz might be willing to trade Hayward to Boston for one of
the Celtics' future first round picks. Hmmmm . . . . . So they would be
willing to give up a past first round pick, now in his fourth year of
development and the team's leading scorer, and a proven playmaker, for an
unknown first round pick???Hmmmm . . . . I'll chew on that one.
At the moment I can't see much sense in it.
Trash talking is great. It adds to the entertainment value of the game. Trade deadline? The Jazz need to get on with it!!This team is winning too much right now. They are not a playoff team AND they
are not going to be a high lottery pick team. Pointless. Wasted
losing. Squandered upcoming draft. Yes I know there are no
guarantees but odds are better with more talent available.Lindsey
and OConner have done some things well but they need to seize the moment. They
need to be bold and deal some players who are not enough of a difference-maker
to matter if traded.Hayward is a tough decision. All around good
player/guy. Franchise player? Nope. Too many years into his career to believe
there is still big upside. He can improve but not tremendously. Deal him if
1st round pick(s) are in the deal. Sit Favors for weeks until he
heals. More losses.Trade Jefferson and/or Williams. More
losses.Trade Kanter for a player who can defend the stretch4
position or picks. More losses.Make some moves for a chance get us
out of mediocrity!Drafting a franchise player is our only hope!
