Great day to be a Cougar. BYU women defeated Gonzaga and the men's team played defense!

But you didn't tell us anything about the injury? what did Kyle injure? his leg? ankle? hip? you gave no indication about the nature of his injury? writhing in pain on the floor for several minutes should give plenty of time to know what the injury was. Strange that you write a story about an injury but tell us nothing about the injury itself.

Great win last night! Collinsworth is a stud. Can't wait for him to get some confidence in his outside shot. Good to see him come back into the game and I hope it was nothing to serious. We need all the players healthy for Thursday's game!

@pby47, It was a hyper flexion injury to the right knee, very painful and occasionally causing an injury to the cartilage. They didn't have "plenty of time" to properly assess possible damage. The fact that he returned to play is probably the best assessment. Collinsworth is a warrior.

In my opinion it was Nate Austin that did some heroic stuff in the St. Mary's game that led BYU to victory. Steal, blocked shot, tip in. I agree with some of the comments from yesterday that the reason we won is that Collinsworth wasn't in the game at the end. Other teams foul him because he will miss the free throws.

The reason the article didn't state the nature of the injury is because they didn't know. It stats that he will see a doctor Monday to see if there was an injury. Hope it is nothing serious. That second half was the best half of half-court offense and defense we have seen from BYU all season!

The fall looked pretty bad and I think a lot of people were surprised he even got up off the floor.
I agree with ya'all that it was a good thing he fouled out so he didn't have to shoot free throws at the end of the game. Bad free throw % will not cut it in the NCAA tourney.
