"the demand for alcohol is already well provided for."

These are the words of someone who is not an alcohol consumer and has no idea what the actual alcohol market in Utah is like. The demand drastically outpaces the supply.

"Derek Monson, Sutherland Institute director of policy, said Froerer's bill is unnecessary because the demand for alcohol in Utah is already well provided for. "

If this is a factual statement, then why do my Utah friends request I swing by by a certain out- of-state package store and pick up product for them prior to visiting.

Aren't the guys the same clowns who always pound their chest about small government? I don't care if you choose to drink to not, but please stop legilslating your morals.

What ever happened to small government and free market?

If the Sutherland Institute really practiced what it preached then the state wouldn't have any say on liquor licenses. It would all be dependent upon supply and demand.
