    What ever happened to small government and free market?

    If the Sutherland Institute really practiced what it preached then the state wouldn't have any say on liquor licenses. It would all be dependent upon supply and demand.

    If this is a factual statement, then why do my Utah friends request I swing by by a certain out- of-state package store and pick up product for them prior to visiting.

    "the demand for alcohol is already well provided for."

    These are the words of someone who is not an alcohol consumer and has no idea what the actual alcohol market in Utah is like. The demand drastically outpaces the supply.
