I have no interest in reading the book. With that said, just because you are allowed to attack peoples religious beliefs, why do it? Is it for profit? Is it to bring light to some dark hidden secret? What is the motive of the author?

Then again, we live in an age of misinformation, where people are allowed and protected to say anything, no matter how false. Look at obama and the number of lies and stories he can tell us, and we're not allowed to question him. Otherwise you are labeled a racists and bigot for questioning his healthcare plan, his wars, his murders etc.

The Hindu makes a great point. We don't write anything bad about Islam, because a group of the faith have no problem beheading or killing the authors that insult their beliefs. Just because Hindus, Mormons, Mendonites, Catholics don't go around slaughtering people that desecrate their religion; why are they fair game?

Why not poke fun at atheists or secularists? Why are some groups taboo, but, others are fair game?
