Caveat Emptor!!!

It is so true.

My last house was sold "for sale by owner". I literally had multiple agents come to my door to tell me why I couldn't do what I was doing and that it would not work. I had a nice attractive custom rambler in a neighborhood of cookie cutter two-story homes. They obviously knew that but told me that I would not be successful anyway.

They were very disheartened when my house sold before the other houses listed by them in my neighborhood.

I also told one of those same agents that if they wanted I would pay them $600 to take care of the paperwork.

Done. One of them figured $600 was better than nothing.

I saved thousands in commissions and I got the price I wanted which was actually higher than they told me I would get.
