TJ is a great player, but he wasn't good tonight. I think he was 0-12 from three point land, and maybe 3-10 everywhere else, lots of free throws-deadly there. If AF can't beat em when LP is "off"... doubtful they can ever beat them.

Good crowd and environment. There were terrible calls on both sides. I think when there are three refs, they call something somewhere every possession. I think the UHSAA should go back to a two man crew and keep the best refs. Some of these refs you can tell never played past Church Ball. Just sayin...

Completely agree about three man officiating. The UHSAA needs to go back to a two man crew. I've been to several HS games this year and I leave every game believing more and more that two man crews are the answer.

I'd love to see how good Lone Peak is without having these constant "move in" Division 1 players every year. Jackson should be at Lehi, where he played last year.

Great game and an exciting finish. AF really hasn't much to show for their efforts against LP going back many years if memory serves me correctly. This seems to be as good a team as they had a couple years back but they likely won't make a deep run at state either. Next weeks game where LP plays PG should be a good one. 2 of the 4 best 5A teams ( Davis & Alta ) will be on the court. @ proud to be American - curious to learn who it is that has moved in to LP outside of the Jackson boy during the years of their championship runs? I do business with a couple of parents who have had players in the past in the program and they said the families of these star kids have lived in that area for years.

Lone Peak treats TJ like he is royalty, he can act or say or do whatever he wants during a game and the coaches and players all act like he's MJ.
LP will not win another title this year, they rely too much on TJ and when he plays poorly against good teams they don't have the players to pick up when he is off. AF almost beat them and they are barely a top 10 team this year.
Now if TJ is hot, they can beat anyone, but to be hot for the entire tourney may be asking too much of him.

Frank Jackson was the best player in the LP/AF game...he picked it up when TJ was off - and TJ was way off against AF. It's funny that they rely too much on him, yet no one in the state has beat them, and they play in the toughest region.

Act like he's MJ? What is being done that is crossing the line? He's the best player in the state and has played like it the whole year.

You're seriously going to say that AF is barely Top 10? They are in the Top 5, 1A-5A...and LP got a W, with TJ playing way below average. Alta will be with PG and AF in the tourney and will be challenged for sure. LP, Davis and everyone else will make up the top half. I'm betting on another title in the LP trophy case.
