post up occasionally. Until he does these things, and gets a little toughness to
his game, the Utes will struggle to win in the PAC12."We do need

Chris B@TrueBlue: "The only thing that matters is record,
isn't that what you guys said all football season?"If
you'd actually been listen that's not what was said at all. BYU's
2013 schedule was tougher than any schedule Utah had EVER PLAYED prior to 2013,
yet, unlike Utah in 2012 and 2013, BYU managed to finish with a winning record
and a bowl.As far as schedules go, BYU #38 SOS was much, much closer
to Utah #3 SOS in football, than Utah #171 SOS has been to BYU #14 SOS in
basketball.Hence the rankings:Football #35 BYU(8-5) with
a bowl vs #34 Utah(5-7) no bowlBasketball #44 BYU(15-9) good chance
for NCAA tourney vs #109 Utah(14-7) no chance for Big DanceBYU has
played four AP/Coaches Top 25 teams this year and is 1-3.Utah has only
played one Top 25 team and is 0-1.BYU is 5-5 versus RPI Top 100

wins have come against RPI 200+ or non-Div 1 teams.10 of Utah's 14

Chris BThe record speaks for itself:#46 BYU > #108

@vegas ute"byU was supposed to be better this year, but are
clearly not. They have lost to every team that mattered,"AP

Just remember BYU fans (I mean, byu "fans" as duckhunter says), for all
of Utah's struggles to finish out games, Utah did deliver a spanking to
your Cougars this year. According to the rules of trash talking, the fan base
of a team that has been soundly beaten has no room to talk. At least not until
the next time they play.
I think Utah's defense is just fine. Offensively they get into these funks,
and I agree with RBN, Loveridge seems to have an on and off switch that he just
needs to set to ON all the time. I think the majority of Utah's problems
are due to chemistry and mistakes that are the product of youth and
inexperience. They'll get better and start gelling and be fine. I think
Krisko is doing a great job and as long as he's there the Utes will improve
and be a team to be reckoned with.
Just love how byU "fans" pounce on yet another story that has nothing to
do with byU. The fact is that Utah beat byU, and byU already has 4 losses in
the WCC, and still have to play Gonzaga once again. That anybody is arguing
that byU is a "bubble team", coming out with at least 5 losses against
the WCC, is laughable. According to the ESPN BPI rankings, Utah is a bubble
team and byU is out.Utah was supposed to be down this year again,
but they are improving, and have a win against a powerful UCLA team. byU was
supposed to be better this year, but are clearly not. They have lost to every
team that mattered, including to two PAC schools, lost to their bitter rival,
and have losses to Loyola, Pepperdine and Portland. byU will have to win the
WCC tournament to get in.
Duckhunter,Just remember, however bad you think Utah is ... byu is
worse. It amazes me that fans of a team can continue to talk trash to
fans of another team, even when their team got killed by like 17 points and have
been beaten 4 years in a row in football. Only byu fans.
When it comes down to crunch time, the Utes have developed the habit of... you
take it...no... I've got it... Like a crazy form of hot potato
basketball. Not only does this show up on the offensive side...it has
appeared on the defensive end as well...it seems like game after game.Playing ole defense and hot potato offense has never been a prescription for
success. As this progresses...finger-pointing will become an
issue...maybe more of an issue than it already might be... It will
be interesting to see what kind of progress the Utes can make this week toward
solving the O & D issues.Go Utes.
Hey, the Utes beat BYU - what else matters?
Loveridge is in more than a slide. It looks as he's decided he's a

Their pac12 record is a true indication of what they are, a sub .500 team
against decent, not great, competition. Their abysmal pre season schedule which
included exactly one good team gave utah, and utah "fans", a false sense
of accomplishment. Their true colors are now shining through.
