John Hoffmire: World poverty figures cut in half

    Perhaps the USA former middle class has paid for this and that is why they are now lower class/poor. By Obama's/democrat's logic, this redistribution is a good thing. Now if they could just be legalized so they could get their votes in return.

    It is too bad we don't have the vision to value the potential for work in all people. We choose who to help and who to rob instead, which limits true prosperity for the people of the world.

    "In the past 22 years, the world has managed to reduce its extreme poverty rate by half." Note that this is focused on EXTREME poverty. It says nothing about labor insecurity, static or falling real wage or any of the other things we look at to assess the labor condition. But, yes, cutting the extreme rate is an accomplishment.
