Tough game, another close loss against a very good team.

Especially tough losing to our rivals. At least we have another rivalry game later this year!

Still proud of the Utes, the best team in the state of Utah.

Go Pac 12!

Layton, Utah

The Buffs aren't that good, Utes can't win on the road, no way to spin how bad this Ute team is, unless you try to talk up the Pac like its a mega power conference, which it is not.

Once again they can't hold a double digit lead. Coach K needs to figure out how to keep these guys fired up for a full 40 minutes. Can't close halves and can't hold a lead.

Sandy, UT

Utah shot 11 free throws
Colorado shot 30
Nearly impossible to win when its 8 on 5.

Great game plan in the game, good shooting, but bad effort on the defensive boards killed the game for the Utes. That's the area that'll need to improve most to turn all the close losses into close wins. Very winnable home stretch before another winnable road game at SC, hope to see it improved this week.

Chalk up another huge huge moral victory. I mean can moral victories get any bigger. This is the kind of moral victory that deserves another pac ten billboard on I-15.

Lets all hold our thumbs together and point our index fingers up, there it is the cute little U we all like to see. I think we should all run out and buy another pac ten sticker and find some open place to stick it.

C'mon Utes you gotta finish on the road. This game should have been a W...frustrating!

Same old story. Onward and upward. I guess utah is really second guessing their schedule right now. Hardly a road game in the preseason and still no wins on the road during conference play.

Can't wait to see the spin on this one.

At least they lost to their rival.

Mark it down. If it is on the road, utah will lose. 3-6 in conference play. That isn't going to get it done. Funny how many fans were back on the bandwagon after the preseason. The hype was big. The ship as been turned around. We are back. I wonder if Wright will jump ship after this season. I would if I was him. Get while the getting is good.

Ooohh dogone it... How disappointing... The utes are still 14-7 though... They have only lost one game at home right? So then what does that make their road record? 6 losses in how many road games?... They've only played 6 road games? Oh my... So then what is their record on the road in Conference for the 3 years that they have been in the big bad pac12 cuz I know they beat Washington in Seattle last year? Oh my, that's the only game that they have won on the road in Conference for the three years that they have been in the league? Oh my... They're 0-5 this year? and just 1-22 over three years? That has to be an ncaa record somewhere.

let's roll

Keep your heads up and keep fighting.

Good game for the utes. I give them props for staying close in most games. They have improved this year but still cannot find a way to win on the road. Good thing for Coloroado that they were able to schedule utah to end the three game losing streak. I see the utes winning on the return game to the HC and they could make some noise in the pac tourney again this year. I see them being much more competitive next year and will win some of these road games.

But seriously folks!

Utah will need more than two players in double figures to compete in any league. What has happened to Loveridge lately? He seems to have vanished from any mention. He must be in a scoring funk. Hopefully he can start to contribute again.

GO Cougs.

I feel your pain.

BYU is having challenges in beating their rivals too.

Thought the little fish in the big pond was growing up but it was only baby steps.

I really thought when CU's star went down Utah had a shot, but alas it was smoke and mirrors.

Time to get ready for the PAC-12 tournament and the only prayer the Utes have for a seat at the March Madness table.

I'm not one to complain about officiating, but I don't know I've seen such lopsided calls in years. On one end there had to be blood for us to go to the line, and on the other any contact anywhere on the body was a foul.

Just be consistent, that's all we ask. Frustrating!

East Salt Lake City, Utah

The problem with Utah is that either Taylor or Loveridge or both struggle on the road. This game Taylor showed up and Loveridge struggled (19% FG over the last two games).

Wright is the only player that is consistent both at home and on the road. I'm hoping Chapman is the third go to guy next year: Wright, Chapman, Loveridge/Taylor.

Layton, UT

The Utes need a game at the MC to get them going on the road.

I think many of us didn't think it was very smart for Utah to only play one road game in their out-of-conference schedule. Not having that experience early set them up to fail in the Pac-12 on the road.

I don't remember where I read it, but I remember seeing some criticism of Utah on the boards. According to ESPN, Utah is ranked 97th overall in rebounding. Now, some of that can be explained by the fact that Utah is one of the better shooting teams from the field (5th in the nation at 50.4%). However, is that shooting percentage inflated by their weak, nearly Huntsman-exclusive pre-conference slate? (Utah shot just 42.9% in this game.) And I doubt just not missing as many shots as the next team accounts for all of their lower rebounding totals. Sounds like hitting the glass may be an area that needs emphasis.

Losing by 4 is the same as losing by 24. It all equals the big "L". Both Wright and Loveridge should jump ship after the season.

24 rebounds for the game says it all.
