Region 2 is a complete joke! 5 of the 6 teams have losing records, and the 1st place team (Taylorsville) lost by 13 points to Region 3's worst (and winless in region) team.

For the second year in a row, whichever region matches up with Region 2 will get automatic tickets to the quarterfinals just like last year. This region would be awful by 4A standards too, and most teams would be bottom feeders at the 3A level. They are a combined 21-51 outside of region play.

C'mon UHSAA, put some effort into realignment next time around. Herriman is in last place in Region 4 and would go undefeated in this ridiculous region!

I'm the JV Head Coach here at Hunter High and would like to respond to the rather offensive comments from shakes and Speak English.

First to Shakes, you are right those are our practice uniforms. The players choose to where what uniforms they want for their games. We are a very large (2100 students) school, but the economic situation here at Hunter classifies us a low income. It is very difficult for players or their families to pay for uniforms, and the school because of fee waivers has no money in the Basketball budget either. We make due with reversible uniforms as that is all we can afford. I assume you must reside on the snobby East side.

Now to you "Speak English". I assume from your handle that you are proactive on the immigration front. Hunter High is a minority school with nearly 60% split between Hispanic, Pacific Islander, and other minorities. School population determines if you are a 5A, 4A, 3A etc school here in Utah. We teachers here at Hunter and for that matter in the Granite school district have no say who shows up in our classrooms or tries out for athletics.
