Playing at home with no Dellavedova on the other team.
This is their best chance yet to beat the Gaels. I can't see them blowing it.

Did you see the mighty weak Salt Lake community college north only winning ONE PAC road game in their first three seasons combined?

Chris B,

Did you see the Utes going 13-40 in their new conference when you got that PAC12 tattoo a few years back?

I liked the title/question...but all Coug Nation cares about is RPI baby. Oh...and how many points players score.

Wins and losses are secondary to RPI

I am still feeling the pain of that buzzer beater last year - Its gonna take another 12 viewings of the "Angie Run" to get over that one....

or a win tonight.

Those community colleges in the WCC would lose every game to the mighty PAC-12.

One way to too beat St. Marys would be to get some assists out of Haws.

I see BYU being ready tonight to take the Gaels to the woodshed. They seems to be playing better D and the bigs are playing smarter. Austin is a beast on the boards.
not sure I can say the same for the utes, after all they are on the road.

"Can BYU finally beat Saint Mary's?"

Frisco, TX

The middle of the WCC is definitely stronger than last year, with only one team with a losing record.

On paper, this should be the game that the Cougs snap the losing streak against the Gaels. BYU is a little better than last year, the Gaels are not quite as good as last year, and the game is in the Marriott Center.

But the Cougs continue to be inconsistent. If the team that played Texas, Stanford, Wichita St or Iowa St shows up; it will be a blowout. But if the team that played the Utes shows up, it will be a battle. Mika looks like he is finally 100% after his injury, Haws is on fire, and Austin is controlling his fouls and staying on the floor. A little extra effort on defense, and 70% or better at the free throw line and this one's in the bag.

In other news . . . Utes are hanging onto their spot in the bottom third of PAC, and some delusional fans still think that's good enough for a post season invite.

Did anyone think that the utes would lose to WSU?
The Cougars should take care of business tonight and move up in the WCC and move closer to earning a spot in the NCAA's. Go Cougs

Answer: Resounding YES they can. How did the utes do today?
BYU is clearly the best team in the state right now, hands down.
